I know this game is over three years old, but it's timeless and addictive. Ravenhearst is one of several games in the Mystery Case Files series. It's a highly addictive hidden object game with an awesome creepy storyline. The mystery revolves around a young gal who lived there over a century ago. She kept a diary which is still there, but only halfway intact. As you go through the rooms and find all the objects, you will find the pieces of those torn-up missing pages and put them back together like a jigsaw puzzle. Each newly reassembled page reveals more and more of the mystery. When you successfully finish the game, you will solve the mystery.
My only gripe with this game is that some of the rooms are locked by means of crazy, complex contraptions, and the only way to unlock these rooms is by playing uber-hard minigames. Lucky for me, there's an option to "call for backup" and skip the minigame. However, if you do this, you will lose all your hints and some time, which is well worth it for me. I never could figure out those crazy locking mechanisms without cheating (that is, consulting a walkthrough), which I hate doing. Other than that, Ravenhearst is a great game.
MCF: Ravenhearst has a sequel called Return to Ravenhearst which I don't particularly care for. It's WAY harder than the first one, and you can not skip the highly frustrating minigames. The one-hour demo was enough for me. The only way I would be able to play this game all the way through is to follow a strategy guide or walkthrough. To me, a game is not fun if you have to read a manual as you play. Neither is struggling through the game on your own fun, but rather very frustrating.
Both MCF: Ravenhearst and MCF: Return to Ravenhearst are available at the Calling All Game Addicts storefront.

Lost in Reefs
I've been addicted to this game for over two months. In a nutshell, Lost in Reefs is Big Kahuna Reef 2 meets Cradle of Rome/Cradle of Persia. The ultimate goal of the game is to build an ancient city underwater. It's like building Persia or Rome among reefs very similar to those in BKR2. You also get to build a collection of fish as in BKR2. However, the things that make this game unique and uber addictive are the following:
- A choice of three modes of play - Group, Swap, or Chain
- A choice of three kinds of layouts - Square, Hexagonal, or Mixed
- An unlimited number of levels; not limited to 100

Addictive Hidden Object Series Games
I find hidden object games to be just as addictive as Match 3 games. A lot of hidden object games come in series of two or more games. For example, the Big City Adventure games are currently a series of four games - San Francisco, New York City, Sydney, and Vancouver.
Here's a list of some of my favorite and most addictive hidden object game series.
Mystery P.I. Series:
Agatha Christie Series:

The Heritage
Before I download any full version of a game, I always download a one-hour demo of it first to see if I like it. This is when new favorites are born, and new entries to the Crappy Game List are made. I just finished up a demo for a new hidden object game called The Heritage , which has just now become a new favorite of mine. If you love hidden object games and scary ghost stories, like me, then this game is definitely for you, as it is for me! It is a lot like the Mortimer Beckett series (especially the Spooky Manor) in that the objects you need to find are all fragmented, and some of those fragments requires some other action in order to find them. It also has an awesome scary story similar to that of Ravenhearst. All in all, I can't wait to see how the story ends! Full version, here I come!

Inauguration Day
This is the official Inauguration Day for the Calling All Game Addicts blog! I've been addicted to online games for a few years now, and I've decided to do more with them than just playing them. I am here to promote them, sell them, and, of course, blog about them. My favorite kinds of games are hidden object, match 3, and mahjong games. Anyway, I have much more to come.
